I was Associate Lecturer at Samtse College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan (RUB). Prior joining RUB, I was Teacher at Tendruk Higher Secondary School, Ministry of Education, Royal Government of Bhutan(RGOB). Currently I am PhD student at University of New England, Armidale, NSW.

I have been doing educational research since 2015, always with an interest in teaching, learning and assessment. I have done studies in assessment, pedagogy, PISA, students behavior, group work assignment, ICT integration Active learning approach and educational technology tools.

Currently conducting a study on:

Designing culturally relevant technology acceptance model for Bhutanese teacher educators based Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use Technology (UTAUT).

Modules I teach: Action Research Project, Educational Assessment and Evaluation, Assessing Learning, Curriculum studies, Introduction to Biology Education, Dissertation, Pant Taxonomy, Functional Informational Technology, Teaching Skill, Teaching strategies, Life Skill CSE and Human Values for postgraduate and undergraduate students.

I do supervise M.Ed students’s Thesis as well.

Academic/Educational Qualification: Undergoing Doctor of Philosophy (Education Technology), Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction (Thesis: Assessment; Bangkok, 2017), PGDE in Biology (Samtse College of Education, 2011), B.Sc. Life Science (Sherubtse College, 2009)

Mr. Tshering believes that the basic purpose of the education is to enable students to actualize their unique and dynamic potentials along with the values such as Tha Damtshig and Lay Jumdrey.  He also believe that such individual who constantly actualizes their potential will contribute immensely to Tsa Wa Sum: King, Country and People.
